Direct to Garment

Designs Printed Directly on T-Shirts & So Much More!

Direct to garment (DTG) garments use advanced technology involving high heat to seal the ink on 100% cotton apparel. This process is similar to printing a piece of paper at home. The images printed using DTG are as close to the original art as possible. Direct to Garment printers use a method referred to as 4 color process, meaning the printer uses only 4 colors, cyan, magenta, yellow and black. With these 4 colors, a full color graphic can be produced.

Direct To Garment vs Screen Print: What’s The Difference?

Screen printing and DTG both yield comparable, quality prints, but they differ in method. It’s important to understand the differences between embroidery and screen printing to help you determine which is the best fit for your products. For one, screen printing is one of the oldest techniques, while DTG is newer technology. Screen printing, or ‘silk screening’, is a method of forcing ink through a fine screen mesh to apply it to a garment. DTG, on the other hand, is a process of using a printer to print ink directly onto a garment. DTG typically has a more extensive ink color range than screen printing and is more cost effective for smaller order qualities.
